Why Self-Care Is Essential Now More Than Ever
The need to take care of ourselves has always been an essential one. Our daily lives are comprised of endless tasks and responsibilities - an ongoing list of to-dos that can lead to everything from stress and exhaustion to withdrawal from the people and things we love. This past year has been an especially difficult one. We have been forced to stay at home - many people left to manage their challenging situations and feelings surrounding the pandemic in total isolation. Being forced to transition rather abruptly from working in the office to home or working out in the gym to home has not been easy.
Exercise, Diet, Nutrition and Skincare are Vital Components of Your Self-Care Routine that Have Likely Been Interrupted
COVID-19 has made addressing our basic needs all the more challenging because we haven’t been able to practice self-care in many of the ways we used to. Even if you never really paused to consider those once frequent appointments at the gym or spa acts of self-care, they were. In fact, it’s because many of the ways you used to practice self-care were more habitual that this past year has likely taken an even more significant toll on your physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.
Now more than ever, it is essential to get reacquainted with our needs. We must remember how it feels to look after ourselves, and making skincare a priority is one simple yet rejuvenating way to accomplish this.
Our HydraFacials will leave you glowing from the inside out.
As we gently exfoliate your skin to bring a new layer of skin to the surface, then restore your skin with moisture and antioxidants, it will feel like a fresh start. A HydraFacial is a chance to improve your skin and improve the way you feel in your everyday life. You deserve both of these things, which is why we take all possible measures for you to stay safe when you come to visit our salon.
Here are ways we are staying safe at MedLife Aesthetics:
- Every person entering the Medical Clinic is required to wear a mask at all times.
- Every person entering the Medical Clinic will be receiving a temperature check and will be asked a series of questions to ensure the safety of all patients and staff.
- We will only allow one patient at a time into the Medical Clinic to allow for complete sterilization before and after appointments.
- The Medical Clinic is closed to walk-ins and will only serve patients by appointment.
- Family members or friends are not allowed to accompany patients.
- Anyone with even mild cold or flu symptoms or who has traveled within 14 days will be asked to cancel their appointment and stay home.
When it comes to self-care, it is essential now more than ever to allow yourself to take what you need. It’s not the stressors of the world that cause us to burn out, but the stress coupled with inadequate support. Always remember that self-care is your support, and we will be here to welcome you when you are ready to carve out some time for relaxation and rejuvenation.
